I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

What trespassing sign? I didn't see no trespassing sign. Are you sure?? I'm not trespassing, I'm hiking! Hehehe... Loved your hike!

we have an 1 1/3 for sale in Wilhoit(with all utilities and septic in) and 4 acres for sale on the other side of congress...very reasonable considering what they all sold for about three years ago....this weather is perfect for hiking...and I am very lucky...I literally can go from my front porch!

It would be so cool if you and Mike found a piece of gold. Now that would be a Happy 2012. Great photos, I enjoyed going along on your hike. Have a wonderful week.

I also loved the pic of the fence climbing.

Obviously the no trespassing sign only applies to Californians and people who live in cities.

I agree with Yogi!! I love you climbing the fence -- what better way??? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of you to find a huge piece of gold!! Hope your new year is off to a good start, Gaelyn!

Great post Gaelyn. I always think deep thoughts when I see those cairns (or a couple of times when I actually built one!)....but you express them so much better than I ever could. That's a perfect way to celebrate the New Year.

Ha Ha Ha! How many times did we climb over before we used the gate that's only five feet to the right? :)

What great rock "sculptures," Gaelyn! I like this hike. We're lucky to live amid wilderness, gold or not.

Oh, I loved how you went over the fence..hehehe! Hey, I have 5 horses. Let me know when you want one! (just kidding...) We are looking to retire in about 5 years and are scouting out areas already. Like you, we need some LAND!

It reminds of the area I used to hike In Southern California when the boys were small. Now those hills are covered with houses. I couldn't live there anymore.
