Gaelyn, what an enviable adventure you are on! I wish, I wish, I wish . . .
Excitement at every turn and a catering service, what more could one ask for.
I have always wanted to roll along at the speed of the river, keep making those videos. For us 'sit at homers', this is a treat indeed.

I didn't realise you were going on motorised boats. Thought you will have to paddle. Looks absolutely amazing and a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I enjoyed the rafting post! Great photos! I know you are enjoying being at the North Rim! We've never been on a real rafting trip on the Colorado, but have hiked the Canyon several times, and the North Rim is a our favorite part! Thanks so much for sharing this. Haven't been by to see you in a while, and promise I'll visit more often!

An exciting adventure, rafting down the Colorado. I have flown in the canyon, 200' below the rim, in a high wing cessna, and the river looked a very long way down, that was back in 1985 before they temporarily stopped flights in the canyon after an accident. You have some great photo's, I tried watching the video but too much stop-start right now, my computer is connected to the very last sucker on the longest tentacle of BT's internet line..!!!

Just found your blog. Do you know Fabgrandma? (Karen E) She works at the North Rim each summer.

Alas, one more time when I would simply watch from the shore....too scary for me. But the photo ops are too good to resist.

Is that your foot with the purple Keen sandal? I have those same ones.
