I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

How wonderful! love the Fall colors! This was the hike we wanted to take on our one day in the Grand Canyon, but alas it was closed. However, now I get to take it vicariously through you! That stump creature IS quite startling! Thanks so much for sharing these lovely photos!
Wonderful post. Fall is such a beautiful but too short of a season.
Oh, such a beautiful time of year to hike Widforss Trail, your pictures are so colorful! I thought that stump was a javelina, tee hee. :)
Thanks for taking me along, Gaelyn. I've seen stump critters that have startled me, too. Nature playing jokes again. Are you soon finished at the Canyon? I thought you told me mid-month.
I adore stump critters, don't you? The shot you took of the golden leaves all framed by black - wow. OMG. Simply wonderful, everything. Thanks, dearie.
A trail is never the same twice, there is always something new to be found and your observant eye is sure to see it.
Snow has shut us out of the Sierra until summer. I know that this recen snowfall will melt quickly but the trails will be icy now so the cabin is winterized and I must find my nature at lower elevations.
Lucky you to get paid to hike and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I love the berries and the stump critter!
The colours in the pictures are stunning. What a pleasure to be paid for something you enjoy doing anyway! The stump critter looks very like a pig :-) Diane
It seems so unfair that a person should get paid for doing what they really love, but hey, someones got to do it. LOL!!
You are so fortunate to work in such a beautiful area. It does look like this trail has a bit of a climb to it, but the scenic beauty does seem to make up for it.
Ps, I'm still scrolling back to look at the stump critter. Sould have given me a bit of a moment as well.
Very beautiful. I specially like the very last image. It tells a story all by itself. Very melancholy. MB
Getting paid to show folks beauty, wow.
Haa..that stump fooled me at first too..I was thinking bear..no wild pig..hee hee..
