Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

New couch

Hwy 89 N through Peeples Valley
I went shopping in Prescott today and I certainly wasn’t looking for furniture.

Hwy 89
It’s a beautiful 30 mile drive over the Bradshaw Mountains.

I had specific places to go and a list. Not Christmas shopping. Well, OK I did buy some cheeses to take to a Christmas dinner. Even got to sample a few while grazing/lunch at Costco.

Bradshaw Mts
I resisted all the hubbub and greenery at Wal-Mart for a back up heater, a bra (which I’m sure you don’t want to see) and a heavy duty electric cord.

Heading home towards the Weaver Mts
Then Safeway for a few groceries because only they seem to carry my favorite ice cream, Haagen-Dazs crème brulee.

Yet while wheeling quickly past all the Christmas candy I remembered hearing about dark chocolate “kisses” and sure enough, so I bought several bags. I am greedy that way.

Weaver Mts.
I’m really not advertising for any of these companies, they just had what I needed.

Oh yea, almost forgot about the new couch which I bought at, where else but, a thrift store.

Just the right size to fit in my RV collection of boxes, but you could only be 3 inches tall to sleep on it.

Gaelyn, the mountains are beautiful. Our highways are no where as beautiful :).

I remember when my collegues travel to the US, kisses are popular to take home, because there are so many in a packet to share around in the office. :)

When I read yr blog title, I was wondering if you were buying a couch for the RV?!! Did not expect a silver 3 inch one!

I love how you put in the real necessities with the beautiful surroundings. I was really expecting a couch. Have you tried M&Ms dark chocolate. Yummy. Thanks for your comments from my job venting. Guess what I wear headphones because I transcribe dictation and that stops no one, they just keep on interrupting and talking. I wonder if I get those big ones if they would notice. Ha Ha. Have a wonderful weekend.

word verification "jershi", sounds like Hersey.

Now there is a collectors item if I had ever seen on. I was also wondering about a couch for you RV.

Dark chocolate kisses would go down well just now.

I was perfectly happy in life not knowing that kisses come in dark chocolate. Now, you have possibly ruined by end of year diet.

Ice cream and me just are not an item any longer. I love it too much.

That is a great little box.

What a fun trip you had. Shopping this time of the year is not fun for me, but discovering things like that couch would be well worth the effort.

Wensleydale cheese! How "Wallace & Gromit" of you! Dark chocolate is my favorite thing in the world, and I love your new sofa! Funny, I collect all manner of boxes and containers and bowls and whatnot as well. Anything that can hold something. Wonder what Freud would say about that? Hm...LOVELY drive!

Shop, shop, shop!!!
I love the couch! And chocolate kisses - I love those. The cat keeps getting into the bag I've put aside for the kids...he's eaten 3 or 4!

Uh huh, Gaelyn, clever gal you are. I saw the post about a couch and said, "Wow!" And then I thought, "Where will she put it?" And then, of course, I had to see it. Cute cute cute! Pretty drive, too. I haven't been anywhere in a looooong time. I'm hungry for a trip.

Dark chocolate love is not greed; it's a necessity! What a cute little couch - it is so ornate. Those scenes from the road are wonderful.
