Fixing the Fence

Gaelyn & Berta building the first fence
You may remember a couple months ago when Berta & I had great fun building a fence out of really cool slab wood.

The first fence

You may also remember how a big wind blew down the same fence. We really didn’t build it the right way.

Blown down fence
Well, last weekend, Berta and a friend, braved cold weather putting new fence posts in.

They almost finished the job, but the snow drove them inside.

Snowy day
Today the sun came out and they finished the fence.

At least one side. There will be a similar fence on the other side of the driveway.

I've always found that putting in a fence involves more work than it should.

Well, every once in a while we have to fail to learn. It looks like it is put back together with a little more oomf to it. Snow? somehow snow and the desert never seem like they should go together, even though I know they do.....
Sorry the new internet didn't work for you! Slow internet is soooo frustrating some times.

If the pigs come visiting again, the wolf and his huffing and puffing may not be too far away again.

I like the way the fence looks with those rustic slabs of wood. Hope it stays up this time!
