I'm glad you stopped for photos even though it was windy. These beach vistas are spectacular.

Stiop you must---the beauty calls you and your camera. Lovely.

Pringle is my father's name.

Are those white puffs little shore birds?

that sounds like a pretty fantastic road trip. Those skies are just plain awesome! I bet Stony Point Nature Reserve had some pretty cool stuff. Fun fun!

Spectacular photos but I agree, I also do not like a combination of sand and wind! It stings like hell! Diane

Love the white sands, too bad it was so windy!

I can so relate to this! Stop, run out, click click, back in the car, push the pedal to the metal! :-D I LOVE unplanned road trips. You certainly captured some gorgeous scenery... I could drive here forever.

You saw some fantastic scenery even if you couldn't spend any time on the beach. That's the best kind of roadtrip--just see where the road takes you.

Cool birds - I had to do a search to confirm the ones with curved beaks were ibises. Now that I've seen a photo it occurs to me I've only ever seen them in art and hieroglyphics!

Beautiful bay area. What a lovely leisurely roadtrip you must have had. So nice to have the time to stop and enjoy each and every thing along the way. Really good shots!!!

That piece of road from Hermanus past Betty's Bay and Pringle Bay has had wind just about every time I have passed through there. In Betty's Bay there is also a Botanical Garden which is worth visiting.

ITS very hard to even hold the camera steady in a good wind..and sand can really hurt. ITS beautiful sand tho..and I think your bird is the Australian White Ibis--really nice looking birds!
