SWF – Sunrise through the pines

01 Sunrise thru trees NR GRCA NP AZ (1024x768)

These sunrise shots taken out my window June 1st almost prompted me to get dressed and head to the rim.

I did say almost. I had to start work early enough that day. So I stayed in enjoying my cup of java.

Those pictures remind me of camping. Early morning, fresh coffe scent mingled with the pine scent. Great.

I may live on the wet side of the state but this is ra-dink-ulous!!! MB

Sunrises with coffee always win in my book. Lovely sunrise.

Hi Gaelin
Ok, you have utterly convinced me. I must visit the Grand Canyon within 24 months. That's my target. All I have to do now is convince Senior Management that it's a good idea, otherwise I'm on my own.

Great view of sunrise through the trees.
I like your header - stark and dramatic.

Somehow I can smell the coffee and maybe even a little bacon on the stove too! This is a wonderful scene to greet you each morning!

Great sunrise, and I do love your header photo. It reminds me of a landscape I saw in Bernalio (sp?) NM many years ago. Lovely.

Sometimes even the prospect of getting a fantastic photo isn't enough to lure you away from that extra few minutes of relaxation with a good cup of coffee. I do like the sunrise through the trees though. Enjoying that sight is a lovely way to start your morning.

Gaelyn these are simply beautiful. I know that feeling of needing to get that picture...almost! When I first came to the islands I had never seen so many beautiful sunrises and I was running almost naked through the forest out onto the dune to get the photos til I realized I really like my bed at 4:30 a.m.(currently our sunrise)! It looks like you are alone there, it must be simply wonderful. Have a great weekend.

P.S. Yes the garbage does come up on each tide which means that is a tiny bit of what is floating out there.

Fire in the sky. The second picture looks like a bush fire in the background. I hope you head to the rip one morning and get us a pic of the sun rising.
