We may have started a new tradition, Christmas dinner at The Old Post Office Cafe. Mike’s brothers, Max and Bob, put together a ham dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon and corn. Mike’s Mom brought her famous fruit salad and I made fried apples. WE ATE. And so did the customers who didn’t know when they arrived they’d be eating a Free Christmas dinner. That’s right. Max said, “everyone should eat free for Christmas.” And Mom said we should do this every year.
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Did you start any new holiday traditions?
And now, time to prepare for the Cyber Masquerade Ball for New Years Eve.

Sorry there’s no photo of all the good eats, it just disappeared so quickly.

Merry Christmas, Gaelyn! It sounds like a very nice tradition and family get together. My family stuck to our old family traditions. I wish you the best in 2012, Happy New Years.

What a lovely way to say thank you to your customers and to spread some generous Christmas spirit around.
I sincerely hope it becomes a tradition and that people do not take too much advantage of it.
Gaelyn, I would love to come to your Masquerade but I haven't a stitch to wear!
I think it is important to shake things up and little and start new traditions that work for you and shed old ones that don't.
