What better to do with a two day weekend than go camping at Fence Point for free. Just before heading out of the park we saw a herd of beefalo. But I was more impressed with the views of Grand Canyon from camp which you can read more about here.
I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Oh, give me a home where the beefalo roam.... What a great place and sight to see!
I would happily walk with my camping gear to see that view, magnificent. Not sure I would be happy driving under that leaning tree though! Diane
A person couldn't ask for a better view from a campsite... this is just a wowwwwwwwww mixed with a sigh... it's so wonderful to see the canyon through your eyes.
Fantastic! You have some life!! Lucky you!!! ;-)
Wow, beautiful views, trees, flowers and beefalo too. Wonderful pictures!
i sure hope neither of you sleepwalk... =o)
what a beautiful spot. heaven on earth.
Oh to be able to camp in such a perfect spot in silence without others around. Absolute bliss I imagine. So from what I gather some spots on the Canyon gets very busy and others are secret spots "reserved" for those in the know *wink*
Fabulous, fabulous photos. I wish I was there right now taking in the marvellous scenery.
Wonderful views to be able to sit and contemplate. That part of your time off looks much more appealing than the shopping part....
Gaelyn, you chose a beautiful spot for your camping. The views are beautiful. Lov ethe beefalo too. Thanks for sharing your world, have a great day.
Very good and nice photos.
Regards!
Fascinating Pictures.
It has been delightful
to visit your gallery.
Good Creations
What an awesome campsite. It would be hard to leave, for sure!
You and Mike picked a beautiful spot, Gaelyn! The light on the canyon is gorgeous. Just can't beat that view! (That lodgepole looks kinda perilous though.)
I'm dumbstruck. Beautiful.
What a great outing. I think having an isolated place to sit and ponder, without crowds around, the canyon is what I'd need to figure it out.
We haven't been to Fence Point, but have been to Parasawampitts. Just as gorgeous, different view. We saw lots of animal scat in a short time there.
Oh, how I would love to go camping like that, but my husband is not the type! What a lovely view to wake up to! I am envious! Since you are a geo-nerd you obviously live/work in the right place!
Ah, such beautiful scenes. I want to ride the Rainbow Rim trail someday.
