I know folks come to Grand Canyon to see the big ditch, but don’t forget to look at the little stuff along the way please.
Or is this just a way to show off more photos I couldn’t seem to fit into a post?
Either way, I hope you’ll keep your eyes open for the Big…
…small…
…and unusual.

The little things are often the most interesting.
I'll remember this when I'm "elbowing my way up to the South Rim" next week ;-)
Great reminder where ever you happen to be hiking or visiting. :)
Loved the photos of the small things, the colours, textures, and shapes.
The whole is indeed so much more than the sum of its individual parts. Keep an eye on the "little stuff."
Loved your big, small, and unusual photos, Gaelyn. Good observations and good reminder to keep our eyes open.
Great photos and yes there is so much to see if one looks around. Diane
So wonderful to see images of the canyon and all the little things that most miss seeing!Loved looking over your posts!
I'll be back...in the southwest come Jan/12!
Having a great summer here!
Like I said in my PEDP post yesterday, I always have one eye out for nice landscapes while the other one is scanning the ground for the little things.
Words to the wise.
It's been a while since I've been to the Ditch, especially the north side. I've never been able to get my head around it so I end up looking at the "other stuff."
Yes, never forget the little things . . .
Your photo's always amaze me. I hope to get back there again some day. Keep those pictures coming
Beautiful photos of the ordinary stuff here.
You are so right! and I get so focused on birds sometimes I forget to see the other stuff too!
Cool photos..I love bark!
No posts needed the pictures are beautiful! Sometimes the small and unusual are what make the big place so interesting.
One of my favorite posts by you. LOVE the trees and small things. Excellent.
You're so right. The little stuff can be just as interesting and memorable as the big dramatic scenery. Great photos to illustrate, too.
I like these a lot! I am very partial to the detail you see in closeups.
