I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Scenic Sunday – Right outside the window

01 Sunset Yarnell AZ (800x589)

When we moved out of the 5th-wheel and into the little house I insisted the computer desk be set up in front of the only window that can be seen out of when sitting down. I so need the light, and also enjoy the Weaver Mountains and sunset.

02 Lady cardinal & sparrow Yarnell AZ (800x756)

The Lady Cardinal

Next step, to set up bird feeders within the view.

03 Sparrows & house finch on feeder Yarnell AZ (737x800)

Sparrows & House finch

Sure didn’t take long for the locals to find the seed.

Gaelyn, you have a beautiful view of the sunset from your window. Wonderful photo. It is great to have the bird feeder set up where you can see them easily out the window too. You have some nice yard birds there.

You're all set with the sunset view and the bird feeders right outside the window. Very nice.

Well, Gaelyn, I can see you are an expert in seeking out the best views! You have quite the flock!

Definitely a great view out of that window! From my office I can see the sunrise if I'm up that early, but the sunset is on the other side of the house.

Nothing like a bit of opportunism in the bird population. Great view. I'm with you I seem to need to look out in all directions.

Nice to see you so cosily settled in for the winter.

Seems like a completely different world away from the canyon.

Bird photography - still to be explored by myself. I like the bird feeder idea. Least the birds do not go hungry in winter.

I miss having a bird feeder or a window where I can see birds close-up on branches. When I was a little girl, I used to sit very, very still and watch the husband and wife cardinal pick at suet and seeds on our blue spruce outside the kitchen window.

I'm also setting up a feeder in the backyard to try and attract more birds.

Nothing beats a window with a view! Gorgeous colors in the sunset. Funny how you never have to wait long when you put up a bird feeder. The little birdie telegraph line is super efficient, or are they using I-phones now....

It is nice to have a view from your work site. I have my back to the west and must turn around to catch the sunset.

Lovely view from your window, Gaelyn and divine sunset. That Cardinal reminds me of our mousebirds in South Africa. Have a great day. Blessings and hugs, Jo

Sounds like a great set up. The birds must be so glad to see you return for the winter. Ms. Cardinal is cute!
