I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

What a fantastic trip it was! I have so enjoyed reading about it and I'm so glad you're posting some additional photos, Gaelyn!! I've been fortunate to be able to travel a great deal over my long life, but never made it to Africa and that was one place I really did want to visit! Your photos are the next best thing! Have a great week!

I love your posts about S.A. all those memories come soaring back and I feel like I am there for a short while! How have I missed the Albasini Ruins? This is the first I knew about them. Diane
this is a fun post to read. will have to go back and scroll down and see what i missed.
I agree with Photo Cache. This is my first visit to your blog but it won't be the last. What a wonderful trip that must have been. Gorgeous photos. And an RV/park ranger life style. Fabulous.

These pics are bringing the "dog tails" to life! Thanks for the piggy back ride...
I so enjoyed your selection of pictures, Gaelyn. I couldn’t agree more about the value of a tour guide. We recently were in Europe and the tour guides really played a major role in our understanding of what we saw. They gave wonderful and much needed depth to art, culture and architecture.:)
It doesn't take long before a trip becomes history, does it? It seems like you were just preparing to go on the trip and now much time has passed! But, the memories will never die...thanks to digital photography. I think the rhino is too embarrassed to stay around for anyone to see what he left in the dirt! That's quite a pile! =)
Another walking stick - this one green! (And a continent away!) I hope you have these safari photos as you screen saver.
That looks awesome. A trip to Africa is near the top of my list of things I'd love to do.
LOL!! You went and did it AGAIN Gaelyn!! I did not know you took so many pictures of me.
I am so pleased you enjoyed your trip and it will always be remembered as a special time. Hopefully you will come back one day soon.
Wonderful pictures from that beautiful country of S. Africa!
wonderful images!!
Its always great to relive one's travels via the photographs. I'm sure now that you have less canyon to show you will probably get to show us more of your trip to South Africa. Looking forward to it.
I'm loving your look back to your most fascinating vacation, Gaelyn. That leopard tortoise is very, very cute.
Seeing the tortoise would have been enough for me! Wow.
Awesome captures of S. Africa. Brings back great memories of first (and hopefully not the last) trip to Africa. Aside from the wildlife, love the landscape too.
Huge rhino poop. Glad the producer wasn't around, at least not anywhere close.
The turtle is a cute guy.
I love poking around old ruins. Those look fascinating.
Great posts about your African trip and I love your new rainbow header, wow!
i LOVE that tortoise !! I get very excited about turtles and tortoises, this guy looks pretty cool. That's some serious rhino scat - whoa! Fun post. And i love your header shot - aweome!
Isn't digital photography great! So nice to see more pictures of SA. I like that tortoise.
