Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Remember Whensday – I had a Dream

Senior photo 1972

As a 1972 high school senior I dreamed of traveling in the world, exploring other lands and cultures. I wanted to be a gypsy, and in this country I’ve gotten about as close as you can get living in an RV and traveling throughout the States. Now my time has come to further follow my dream.

Sally from The (Mis) Adventures of Karl and Sally operates a meme where the past is remembered through sharing old photographs. You can view more, or share, visiting Remember Whensday by clicking here.

I think we were probably sisters in a past life because we share the same dream.

I have always felt that same gypsy spirit. I wonder how many of us out there feel the wanderlust pull.
Love your picture. Have a safe and wonderful trip.

Gaelyn, seeing South Africa and enjoying the beauty and nature, will be another dream come true for you. You go get it!

Oh, to be so sweet and innocent again! I also have a dream to see other countries, I just have to get past my fear of flying first - lol.

What a sweet idea! It's great that you've been able to act on your youthful dreams, thanks for sharing.

You certainly do live your dream very well Gaelyn. I used to hold an attraction to the gypsy way of life too, and I guess I am living it also.

My mom has austro-hungarian blood and says we have gypsy in us.

A stunning photo - oh, to be young again - or not. Tending grandchildren are easier than raising four daughters. But I would go back, take better care of my health and make and save more money. But I would marry and keep the same wife.

I think its wonderful you have been able to follow your dream. Of course we'll be following along too.

I try to imagine what the popularity of the meme is. I assumed it is the exposure from a list of links. You add your name and wait and see how many visitors you get. Of course it is like a regular blog where you could expect a visitor from the person you visited. LOL

I wonder why people just don't do it on their own. Your meme is the daily post. Your visitor links are those your visited. It works for me and I have never knowingly been linked on a meme.

The meme does wonders for the person who dreams them up.

That's my take on them things.

I like your HS year book picture. You haven't changed that much. Hair color. That's about it.

Gaelyn: Wonderful photo of you as you looked forward to going into the world. Best wishes as you head for the wilds of South Africa.

I am a gypsy at heart, too. Waiting to hear of your wanderlust adventures in South Africa.

What's this, South Africa? How did I miss this? Must go back into your past posts. As long as you don't forget your camera and take me with you I'll let you go.
