Mike and I went for a walk into the wash on the edge of the property. It’s amazing what a different world it is only 100 yards from the house.

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

That's a pretty place to walk. Must be some water nearby to have the big trees.
It does look like a very nice place and probably a great place to do some birding.
Those trees could be the home of many types of wildlife. A beautiful place to walk.
What a beautiful site. So Peaceful and inviting. Blessings to you and yours. Love and Light, Nina P
Beautiful, Gaelyn. I'm sure you can find all manner of wee beasties in the divine green.
frosty and snowy and cold here!
What a very scenic landscape!
Gaelyn: You look so green when I'm only seeing white. At least the Sun came out.
it's nice to see a landscape without snow!
Wow, what a lush area to go for a walk in. No wonder you have so many birds that visit! Its nice to have something like that right out your door!
I think every direction is a scenic wonder where you live! What a nice walk you must have had...
How wonderful to have this right on your doorsep Gaelyn. I do miss the open spaces since I am lving back in town.
Its true that you don't need to look miles from home to find a change of scenery.
What fauna lurks here? Looks like a place that would be home to many critters.

I'll bet there is lots to see in all that scrub! Nice photo and hope you had a great walk.

What a bushy looking place. Ideal for seeing those elusive birds Is the weather warming up there now?
I see that and it feels like the scenery is inviting me to go for a hike, too.
In this post and above you do have a knack for finding the interesting even when you aren't in your park ranger habitat....Michelle
