Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Unusual Visitors

This little wren somehow found its way into my house. It flew from one end to the other several times while I tried to take photos. I finally opened the door and it quickly found its way out.

I don’t know where this tree lizard is living but it joined me in the kitchen this morning and then disappeared under the stove.

It’s nice to have company.

Uhhhhhh, OK! While I love wildlife as much as anyone, and think lizards are cuter than cute, one disappearing under my snow would drive me CRAZY. I wouldn't stop until I found a way to return it outside. (Which it probably did itself.) And I must say a wren has never made it indoors anywhere I've been.

Gaelyn,

We get skinks and once a Spotted Salamander in the house. No big deal, but your "house on wheels" is considerably smaller. I drew the line after hurricane Fran damaged (demolished) our kitchen and had a huge Rat Snake on top of the microwave in the living room one morning.

LOL!! Sounds like my "Boring day at the office" Gaelyn. :) I love the pattern on the lizard.

Yes it's nice to know you are never alone. LOL
Great shots. A flighty bird is hard to capture. MB

How lovely! We once had a Koala trying to break into our bathroom at night. It is wonderful when wild things come in for company.

Gaelyn I have left a little something on my blog for you.

They both look so sweet. I guess they found your place cozy. I haven't seen lizards for weeks, maybe I should look under my stove, that's where the crickets usually hide.

Guests can be great fun. Hope the lizard was able to leave and traipse home to family as well!

Gaelyn: My wife would freak out. She doesn't even like the birds on the deck which I feed. That lizard is another story, she would leave the house screaming.

We have had birds before, the lizard would have startled me. I had a cat that brought in a snake once. A little copperhead. That was fun!!

I had a baby pigeon in my bedroom once, and a sparrow in the dining room. No other creatures, even the awful six-legged kind, thank goodness. I think the lizard is cute, but would worry that he'd get broiled under my stove...

Oh, your little lizard friend is adorable!
That's one thing I miss about living in AZ - I always enjoyed coming home and finding the screen door plastered in lizards! :)
... but I don't miss the Phoenix cockroaches - huge flying beasts! Bleh!

I think the tree lizard might have startled me at first, but I could live with it. :)

I can see you really are a collector of wonderful things.

Having some "visitors" like that wouldn't bother me at all. It's kinda cute. My Wife would probably throw a huge fit. She is afraid of any type of bug you can imagine.

How funny! I would much prefer this little visitor to a mouse.

What great visitors...do you have a guest room?

nope can't say I would be overly happy with that sort of wildlife living in our house. We're already overrun with numerous things without those as well!!
