You all know by now that I don’t do mornings very well. However, there is once schedule I work that gets me out there early, and I’m never sorry once I am.
I stopped to catch this gorgeous morning on my way to the office. And it was cold out.
But if you really want to see a cold, yet beautiful morning here at the canyon go to FabGrandma’s and check out what she saw yesterday morning.

An amber sunrise on a chilly morning is a great way to start the day!
Oh, Gaelyn, that is definitely the way to start a day and worth getting up early for! What gorgeous captures and stunning colors!
Have a great weekend!
Sylvia
Lovely Gaelyn. The early morning is the best time of the day.
I'm with you about getting up early.. it's not in my nature either, but sometimes it's well worth the effort, like it was here. Beautiful sunrise and what a great morning commute you have:)
I can just imagine that sunrise over the canyon must bring out the most awesome colours.
I'm not much of a morning person eother, but if I'm out there, I try to make the most of it with my camera.
What a way to start the day! Great life, huh?
That's the way to start your day, am so jealous.
Brrrr - that does look like a cold morning sky. Snow here in CO - the Loveland Ski area is open for business!
Who could not love seeing that sight every morning, Gaelyn.
By the way, the more I look at the picture heading the more I see snoopy sitting up and begging. Yeah, I see faces in wall paper and cracks in the wall.
It is a beautiful sunrise and is a great place to see the sunrise. The mornings are getting colder now. Thanks for sharing your skies.
That's one of the reasons I love pine trees, viewing the sky through them! Gorgeous images, all of them!
The golden glow is beautiful -- well worth the early rising.
That sunrise is so bright and brilliant it looks like a big old fire. Great shot.
Beautiful pics of the early morning skies - doesn't look cold at all!
And, happy blogaversary!
That beautiful view will open your eyes early in the morning. That's you bonus for getting up that day.
Thanks for the cool sunrise, Gaelyn
We are still hot and sticky :(
That one was worth the getting up for!
Beautiful sunrise! Glad you got to experience first hand. Happy Friday!
I saw that sunrise over by the picnic area, and didn't have time to stop for a pic, not even just one. Thanks for the link! Those bison in the snow were much more fabulous than that picture shows.
That's why they invented camera timers you know! (Actually, that probably wouldn't work ... ) Great photos by the way. Wow!
Absolutely GORGEOUS sunrise photos! Thanks for getting up and out to capture them ... glad you shared!
Hugs and blessings,
Love those sunrises when we can catch them! When we're awake for them :)
Happy Blogaversary too!

The morning view is really fresh, makes us so delightful all day. Thanks for the visit.
Wonderful skies as a reward for getting up!
Its wonderful to rediscover in Nature that which once was neglected. May the skies lead us to the respect and understanding that all life and things that show themselves to us are precious and lovely as your sunsets have shown us.
Well worth the early morning braving the cold.It has been pretty chilly here too. 4 Celsius this morning.
A sight to behold, as the sun is just creeping out.
Happy birthday to your blog Gaelyn and I am head to Fabgrandma!
Hello Gaelyn. Happy Blog anniversary! Those are fantasctic sunrise. I've seen the grand canyon once in summer. I haven't seen autum yet in actual.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy weekend.
Don't ya just love a sweet sunrise. a little crispness in the air full of pine scent. Oh yeah!! MB
Chilly or not, it is a great way to start a day don't you think?
Lovely...wonderful captures in spite of the cold. Thank you for sharing.
I usually catch the sunrise through the geraniums on my porch! Smaller versions of your glorious mornings!
Gaelyn: Mornings can be a wonder in the sky and you capyured this beautifully.
I love the first one, with the sunrise peeking through the branches. Guess one good thing about winter is you don't have to get up so early to capture the sunrise. (not that I ever do! lol)
Great blog! thank you, a new follower!
I love it when the bottoms of the clouds are that color. Worth getting up early. (As if I ever have a choice.)
Those beautiful photos convince me to go there for a week. Thank You
Secretia
