I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

K for Kanab Utah

Yes, there is a big white K on that big red rock
It’s an hour later in Kanab and my truck has a 9am (8am AZ time) appointment with the mechanic. It’s an 80 mile drive, just less than two hours for me.  Read more.

That sounds like a town I would like to visit Gaelyn. What a lovely old wagon. That is still quite a drive to the nearest town for you and sounds like when I was in the bush and always had a long distance to travel to "civilization".

This is a really neat little town. I can see why they used it to film here.
Your journeys are always so enjoyable, lead on and we shall follow...

I love Kanab (and that whole area, actually). My favorite spot there is Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. :)

Have you been to/explored/hiked/worked at Grand Staircase-Escalante NP and, if so, what did you think? We've driven by a couple of times but have not yet been able to stop.

Gaelyn: Neat photos from the cool town. Two hours to work on your truck is too far.

I didn't know some of those old TV series were filmed there, but now that I think about it, I guess the scenery is similar to what I remember on Tv.

Kanab is where we were yesterday, and it also the "world headquarters," though not the main headquarters of Stampin' Up! which is hosting the convention I'm attending in Salt Lake. The rubber stamps are still made in Kanab, and that is where the company started manufacturing, about 20 years ago.

I didn't know about Larry!
