I love road trips, thanks for sharing.

I've been known to check into casinos because of the nice cheap rooms and not spend a penny.

Yes, I love road trips, too! Great shots for the day and lovely skies as well! Hope you have a terrific weekend, Gaelyn!

Just about nothing beats a Chicago style Italian Beef sandwich! Since I grew up in Chicago, I know of what you speak.

I will be trying a restaurant in Ocean Springs, MS, this week that says it serves Chicago style Italian Beef sandwiches. I hope that's true. :)

I like the "dust" being called "velvet!"
Nothing to do with this post which is an invitation to get away from the routine.

Hi, just happened across your blog this morning via the Bayfield Bunch. I so enjoyed your photos and what you wrote today about your getaway to Laughlin. Years ago we found "L" thru a business trip to Las Vegas. It became one of our fav places to visit over the years. It's been awhile since we rved west but we will always have great memories of that area.
Thanks for sharing!

Love me a roadtrip -- real or virtual! One spring break we went (from Oregon) to the Mohave Desert to camp and hike (back when we used to be able to do that) and it started to rain (no more canyon hiking) -- we headed toward Laughlin and got a huge beautiful Hotel Room for so cheap -- we had paid more for some campgrounds on our way to the desert. Good times!

Love road trips too! Love Vegas but not to gamble. Great series of photos.

I hope you got your new camera.

I want to go back to Red Rock and the Valley of Fire.

I love your road trip, Gaelyn. I popped onto your FB link today to vote for Karen as the Best Grandparent's blog. But of course, my Interent bombed out. Thanks for all your visits and comments on my blog. This is the first I get to comment in a week! Hugs Jo

I like NV in the spring! (And NV with a hot tub and good meal is even better.)

Every time I see a post like this I realise that roadtripping through the USA should be on everybody's bucket lists. Its on mine.

Years ago, I went to Laughlin with my then boyfriend and his dad to visit with his grandparents. They were full-time RV'ers and spent winters in Laughlin. I wish I'd poked around there a bit because that picture from your hotel window suggests it's really quite beautiful.
