MWT – Happy Independence Day!

10 NPS truck in 4th of July Parade GRCA AZ 2009 (1024x891)

We shoot water instead of fireworks at Grand Canyon’s North Rim

I rejoice in the celebration of our independence and always loved watching, but not listening to, the fireworks. Yet I also truly enjoy celebrating in our National Parks or Forests, where NO Fireworks are allowed. Would be nice to keep Some of Arizona green. Please use caution with fireworks and if camping where there’s no fire restrictions put your fire completely out before you leave. Have a Happy 4th of July my friends!

Happy 4th of July, Gaelyn! I am glad there are no fireworks in the national parks, these fires lately have been scary. Great reminder to campers to make sure their campfires are out.

Happy 4th of July to you as well. One thing I loved about South Africa and Zimbabwe was that fireworks were banned other than controlled at special celebrations. At least animal owners did not have to worry about traumatised pets. Diane

That is pretty funny with the water truck. But more practical when things are so dry.

Happy 4th of July, Gaelyn. Much better idea to shoot water than fireworks. Enjoy your day. Thanks for your comments on my blog. Yes, I saw my sister kept me an empty seat at Wimbledon, but the Airways from East Africa to the UK were full so I missed out. LOL! Have a great week, my friend. (((Hugs))) Jo

Happy 4th to you, Gaelyn! Let's hope if there are fireworks, they don't cause any more fires.

I concur. I like the bright colors but not the loud boom. Hope you had a relaxing day.

Cool way to celebrate. We were at the CDR and nary a sound of fireworks was heard. I love the silence.
