I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

SWF – New angle on Yarnell Sunset

84 Sunset Yarnell AZ (1024x768)

Winter sunsets are often spectacular and this may not be the best one I’ve shown. But it’s a “from a window shot” and more specifically, from a slightly different angle than the little house only 30 feet away.

Love the shot! I go nearly crazy trying to keep wires out of any photo I take outside which is almost impossible in these days and then sometimes I decide that they are kind of cool showing up . . . as in this photo. Like it.

The high, thin clouds of a western winter do make for enjoyable sunsets.

I think it's a beautiful photo, Gaelyn. I like the way you've "embraced?" the wires and made them frame the picture. Have a great day. (((hugs))) Jo

I, too, like the way the wires appear as diagonal slashes to the pink diagonal clouds. Hope I said that right. Anyway, lovely!

Window shot from the new RV? Still a pretty nice view. :)

I have to agree with Lucy, I do everything possible to stay clear of electric or telephone wires, but somehow in your photo they just look right. Diane

Very nice shot and you know I quit worrying about wires after Davd McMahon (Authorblog) wrote on how they just add interest. Then again PS9 has a new gadget that will also remove them like they were never there if they really must go!

Sunsets always make good photos with or without wires.

When you tire of the view you can just move your house. The sky is pretty there whatever the angle.

You DO own the sky though.
2000 acres of it at least :-)
All yours.
And ours.

The colours are lovely, Gaelyn! Wish I could capture such a great sky just outside my door. :)

Love your header - the rainbow and the trace of green way down in the valley!!

Our sunsets have been pretty amazing too. I like that about winter.

Is there a program that automatically takes wires out? I know you can do it in Photoshop.

That is a pale apricot triangle sunset!

It's true - as much as the atmosphere tries to kill us in the winter, it does come in pretty packaging!

Every single sunset is something to enjoy, even if they aren't all colourful and spectacular.

Still pretty as a sunset, something I never tire of watching.
