The trick to capturing lightning for me has become video then pull out the single frame.

Great captures, especially the lightning. I've got a number of lightning photos on my blog, they're tough to catch but it can be done with a long exposure.

You caught lightning! Wow! I would love to see a storm over the canyon like this...never have. I can imagine the drama played out!
