Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Those verandas certainly do look inviting to me right now to take in and merge with such a view.

In the White Mountains of New Hampshire they have a hut system and the staff actually do perform silly little skits in the evening hours. Creativity certainly does enliven the atmosphere.

Gee..I would love a video clip of you singing or in a skit...Couldn't they bring back the old days? Seriously..it was a interesting post that I can relate back to that series about the national parks...

The lodge is indeed a neat place to stay - I can attest to that, though it's been years.

Cool, I hadn't been there in, oh, about 42 years. New roof, otherwise looks pretty much the same.

Gaeyln, it is beautiful! That green roof makes it look like a toy Lincon Log Lodge even though it is made of stone! I Love Brighty of the Grand Canyon! My teacher read us that book when I was in elementary school. I have my own copy of the book!

Dang, I miss the north rim, Gaelyn! I'm only slightly mollified that I am headed to the Big Island of Hawaii in two days...

I really like the stone look of the building and all the native decorations. And the VIEW!!! It must be a very popular destination in the park. Can't wait to see the accommodation.

Great tour and nice info. I like the use of native stone and wood. It is a good look. And of course the greats views are a real plus. LOL. MB

PLEASE bring that rug with you on your next visit here Gaelyn. :) And when I visit there, I definitely want to have a meal in that diningroom, right next to a window. You would probably NEVER get me to leave then. :)

The Lodge is very beautiful and well suited for its location. I'll bet you're glad that you don't have to do skits, and I'll bet the visitors are glad too!

Its great to see the lodge again, it has been YEARS since I was there, and had forgotten much of the detail. Unfortunatly when my parents and I traveled to the north rim there was a fire and we could not see the canyon..... Another time.
