Man, rain storms are the coolest (ESPECIALLY in Arizona where the sky stretches for days). I never tire at looking at them!

Gaelyn what an amazing day. Your header and the other photos of the rain storm are simply breathtaking! I simply must visit your part of the world it is stunning. Hope you are having a great break. We start the floor on the loft tomorrow and the rafters by the end of the week! Have an awesome week.

It looks like you had a stunning trip with some very scenic spots and view sites along the way. That viewing platform looks a bit scary for me while the view across the canyon with the rain falling is brilliant.

The rain and the rainbows are beautiful. Such wanderings. I remember those spruce or pine forests and the smells. My.

With you on the go all the time, I would like to get a recipe from you with a picture of you so I could add it to my recipe blog...

At least think about it.

I don't know the person who works at the top of that look out tower, but there must be a screw loose some where... Just like that rickety old latter to the top! (No offense intended to that person... I'm just saying...)
The show we got at the rim was the BEST SHOW ON EARTH!!!
But what made it so great was the fact that I was with the most wonderful woman I could have imagined!
Thank you sweetie! For everything!

Oh, my God. Unbelievable. Except that we all see it, of course. Spectacular. Rainfall and storms are favorites always, but there, in that place they make my jaw drop in awe. Wow.

Excellent post with excellent photos. Love the new header and love the pic with the dual rainbows. Well I guess I love them all. I spent some time at a lookout tower only not that high off the ground. It did sway in a high wind though. MB

Wonderful photos! I want your camera. Of course, I would have to be in the right place at the right time to get such gorgeous captures!

What a stunning series of shots! The header shot is gorgeous, as are all of the ones of the storm and its aftermath, but I also enjoyed the photos of your journey to Crazy Jug Point. The mosaic with the wildflowers is beautiful. What a wonderful day you had.

I remember seeing a show of a similar kind in November 2006 in Ireland (of all places). The massive difference was that my little show was featuring only one segment - light shining through clouds after the rain. It was nowhere near as impressive as this series. What makes this series even more incredible is the contrasts, the terrain, the lighting. I really think the photos 2 and 4 from the bottom are amazing. I hope you took those 2 photos in large format 10 meg plus at best quality setting - they would be on my wall instantly as large poster prints.

Two of my favourite things in nature: clouds and mountains (or do you not call them mountains, for actually they are part of the rim, are they not?) What a display. Thanks for sharing it.
