Wow, Gaelyn. During my visit the the GC there wasn't one condor in sight. Next time I'll know better where to look, eh? Neat shots!

How exciting to see the condors. The last shot of the Colorado River is spectacular, great reflections.

Excellent shots of the Condors and stunning one of the river. MB

They look ridiculously small on that big bridge but I know how large they really are. Great to see them so well even if they are a bit camera shy! Great shots. Diane

Great post. I wouldn't have thought to look down onto the bridge, I'll need to remember that in the future!

It must be wonderful to see them Gaelyn and they sure have a great place to roost.

I meant to ask in the previous post on Horseshoe Bend, is that algae making the water green or some kind of mineral?

Ha, I hope they haven't found any hikers to scavenge upon lately.
How exciting to see them. I wonder if they're raising some young under the bridge.

Wow them overgrown turkeys (condors) are strange birds. Wonder if they have ever carried children away - or is that urban legend?

Lovely pictures - I suppose us South Africans have to be satisfied with Hadeda Ibis birds by the thousands. They make an incredible amount of noise, but eats worms.

Beautiful pastel colours in your header picture-like an overwashed watercolour. Lovely.

Was not impressed with the Condors Gaelyn, they looked like rather scruffy Roosters, so different from when in flight.

Cool post on the California Condors! They are awesome birds and I like seeing that they are doing well. The shot of the river is fantastic, what a great view! Wonderful photos, Gaelyn!

Really 19 years old? I don't know anything about these birds so I am amazed. What knowledge they can gain in that time and what a place to have your home..nice view....

I have not had a condor size me up for lunch yet, a pity since I would dearly love to meet one. Your prickly pears appear to be a different plant to our which have flat leaves and grow to be huge and I love the last shot looking down to the river. What a glorious place to be a ranger.

I can imagine that the bridge would make a good resting spot for those birds. How fortunate you are to have them around there.

Not pretty birds but magnificent in flight. I've watched them at Pinnacles NP.
