Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Photo play

Looking NW
On the way back home from Sunday’s drive, yesterday’s post, the sky started to show some darker clouds as a rainy front moved in from the southwest.

Towers are east of town
Then decided to play with the photo a little. It may have looked like this an hour later. Today’s been gray all day with on and off drizzle. We really do need the rain.

I had to enlarge the second one to be sure about what I was looking at, very cool picture! But I thought at first it was upside down. I think I'm developing age-induced dyslexia, is there such a thing?

i love the natural shot, too!

Cool effects in that second photo! It looks quite dramatic.

I like it, it looks really cool. Not generally a fan of tweaking too much, but every now and then it really can be fun when you get results like this.

You've created a big white sky-bird, Gaelyn. A Dove perhaps?

I like your tweak. It is nice to brighten the shadows and your cloud is very interesting.

Wow that is amazing, Gaelyn! Beautiful photos. John said he's had contact with you and putting together a nice hike in mid-March. I don't think we'll be out before 20th March so I'll miss meeting you. *Sigh* You never know: we always go straight to the berg where the family is...

I like that effect you accomplished in the edited photo.

These two shots are great! I never get tired of watching changing skies.

Ooops. Just reread that you tweaked. Well, never mind; as you say, it could have looked like that! I don't know how to tweak like that...

The clouds running like rivers up the mountain slopes are really neat.

I hope you get to see Sunrise Earth. Today there it is about Argentina Seal pups and Elephant Seal pups in the wild. Probably near Argentina. I will see if I can get some good seal pics off the tv.

Excellent!! Taking a wispy cloud photo and making it look ominous---maybe creepy. LOL MB

We desperately need some rain (actually lots of rain) in this part of South Africa. While the rest of the country is just about washing away, our dams are empty and farmers are struggling.
