Coy in Laughlin

Berta and I met in Laughlin, Nevada after my visit to Death Valley the beginning of November. It’s really just an excuse to get out of town and stay at a nice hotel for cheap plus soak in the Jacuzzi.

Neither of us are really gamblers and usually spend about $20 each on the slots. Berta was ahead by a little for a while.

In the moat around the Colorado Belle are these huge coy. I am fascinated by the variety of colors.

Hello, your first shot looks like it could have been taken on the Mississippi. The Koi are really colorful fish. Sounds Like you had a wonderful trip!

That's a lot of koi and they are so colorful. Any place on the desert is a grand get-away in my book. In fact, we're off to Palm Springs today to do a little hiking in Indian Canyon! (with my camera, of course)

I've seen koi before, but never with such colors! How beautiful!!! Thank you so much for sharing your photos with us, Gaelyn. (I'm not a gambler either...)

Gaelyn: The colors on the Coy are really neat.

It's interesting to feed the coy too. One can have them come to the surface and eat out of your hands.

Wow. A proper river steam boat. Not a make believe one. I saw a koi in the Boardwalk Casino lake here the other day that looked like a shark it was so big.

I love your stories of the great outdoors but it was nice to see you having fun. That boat [paddle steamer?] is so beautiful.

Love the burning bush pic at your header.
