It looks like you are not as cramped in your community as the rest of the cacti, you have a better view, and you have the ability to embrace your self. But do so gently because of the spines.

It looks like some form of pediocactus, and it does look like it is marching to some kind of drum, right over the top of that rock.

Part of it almost looks like a snake all curled up, and the rest looks like fireworks! Very cool!
