Oh yes the skort is back, shorts with a flap in the front for the uninitiated. Keep any item of clothing long enough and it Will come back into fashion. I didn’t keep my skort. Oh well.

BTW, I’m moving out of the little house and back into the 5th-wheel all clean and shinny looking inside and it won’t roll from here until the end of April when I return to the canyon. However, as soon as all the stuff is moved, within the next couple of days, I can feel a road trip coming with the truck camper. Maybe southern Arizona where it’s just a little bit warmer.

Remember Whensday - Prom 1970

I went to my first prom when I was a sophomore and boyfriend Paul was a senior. I remember that we’d had a little tiff the day before prom but we went anyway. I had my hair done, teased into a birds nest. Mom sewed my dress. At dinner I didn’t know whether to take my gloves off or which piece of silverware to use for what. Thank goodness a teacher at our table saw my dilemma and without saying a word provided the examples I desperately needed.

And this was Paul’s ride.

Remember Whensday - Christmas 1970

Adolph unwrapped his football present
Adolph was the first dog in my life. He came home in my Dad’s suit pocket at six weeks old. Oh how he loved to play fetch. But he’d only bring the ball back in the house. Outside, forget it. Maybe too many other distractions. Adolph didn’t like water as a puppy yet once he finally tried swimming you couldn’t keep him out of the water. He went boat camping with my family and dug deep holes in the sandy beach. Although Adolph has passed over the rainbow, he lived a long rich life of play and still has a place in my heart.
