Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Signs of life

01 New growth on Ponderosa Pine NR GRCA NP AZ (1024x768)

I know it’s spring because of the new growth being seen.

02 New growth on White Fir NR GRCA NP AZ (1024x839)

But I’m ready for summer already.

You are ready for summer and so am I. Only difference is that winter is only starting here.

Pretty! Actually we're having summer in Montreal today - temps in the 90s, rather strange for this time of year. Come on up!

Spring is waking up! Great close-up shots... the reward for having a keen, observant eye.

Ditto to Firefly. Luckily our winters are short, but with all the antics of the weather lately, we might just experience a long one this year.

It's hotter than you know what here already. I bet you are glad to be out of south Texas!!

After being so hot for two months we have suddenly hit a chilly spell and I am not enjoying it one bit!! Love that first photo. Diane

Great shots! We were across the canyon from you earlier this week at the South Rim. It was summer there! It was our first trip to the Grand Canyon. Now we want to visit the North Rim.

Beautiful closeups! Spring can turn into summer very quickly. It took only a few days here and I'll bet the same thing happens at the Canyon.

Come to New England, for it sure feels like summer here! Low ()'s yesterday and in the 80's again today! I'm headed for Acadia NP this weekend!

Summer isn't quite here yet, but at least it feels like spring, with temps in the 70's at 5000 ft. Seems like we're off to a slow start.

Not even quite spring here yet, Gaelyn! Are you getting any smoke at the Canyon? I like the closeup photos.

It would be nice if summer would come! Here in Idaho, it's trying to, but we had hail this morning!
At Craters, I'm an interpretative ranger. Since the area is comanaged by the NPS & BLM, the BLM likes to employ a ranger at the NPS monument, to help spread that knowledge.

I took a pix like this a couple of weeks ago from a ponderosa pine in a nearby valley. It would make a great corsage.
