I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Thank you for stopping by. Just to let you know, I'm still blogging but have moved to Geogypsytraveler. Hope you'll follow my adventures. Just click here.

Sunrise & a new day in Texas

After buying and installing two new SOBatteries into my truck (scroll down for that adventure) the next morning I took her for a spin. The charging gauge was pulsing a bit so when I got home I Googled some possibilities and discovered many owners of my kind of Ford had experienced drained batteries from a faulty voltage regulator. I called the recommended local AutoZone and they can test the regulator, part cost $25, and maybe even get help installing if needed.

So I’m up earlier than usual to get this done. Sure hope it’s the last of the electrical problems. What the hell else could there be?!

I plan to leave South Texas in three days, Monday morning, and begin the long journey back to my winter Arizona home. Then in a few weeks head back to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park for the summer.

PS: It’s my birthday tomorrow so feel free to send lots of Happys my way.

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirthday dear Gaelyn

And be happy you couldn't hear that because you would have had to poke your eardrums out with a screwdriver. One of the many good things about the innertube is that you can't hear me sing.

Fingers crossed that your electrical problems will be fixed. You can't bring them back to AZ.

Tons of Happys on your birthday! Give your mom a special hug too for her part those many--oops--few years ago. My biggest wish for you on your BDay is that your truck repairs are completed and it purrs along happily on your journey home and back to the Canyon.

I was wondering about the electrical system but I'm generally a piss poor mechanic but the battery problems that I've had were generally caused by something in the charging system.

I hope you are done with battery drama now.

Hi from Show Low, AZ. Arizona is a beautiful state! I just retired, my husband is still working but we are planning our trips and adventures. I wish we could have done it much sooner as I have a chronic illness now. I have no regrets, I will just have to adjust. Have fun and thanks for sharing! Marla
