Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Squirrel

01 Squirrel in fig tree San Benito TX (1024x753)

After seeing the colorful golden-fronted woodpecker yesterday (scroll down) I heard more rustling in the tree outside my window.

02 Squirrel in fig tree San Benito TX (1024x768)

This squirrel went out on a limb for the fruit at the end.

03 Squirrel in fig tree San Benito TX (1024x913)

Until I picked up my camera and it scrambled back to hide behind the big leaves.

You should stay longer. Who knows what you will see next in that tree.

Critters always seem to sense when you get your camera cranked up and wait to disappear until you're ready to click the shutter. You did get a good capture in the second photo though.

We don't have squirrels around here, but on a holiday in Cape Town I sat for ages in the garden watching them in the trees.

Those leaves look so exotic; what is that plant? Great shots despite the shy subject.
