I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Hartenbos South Africa

I got to the coast and looked for a place to stay for the night, desperately wanting to find internet so I could post about my eventful day caving and ostrich riding.

01 Outside of room at Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (756x1024)

I drove past Hartenbos to Mossel Bay and back thinking I’d spend a little extra tonight and get a room with a view.

02 Bed & living room at Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (768x1024)

But I settled with the Riveria in Hartenbos, with no internet.

03 Livingroom & hall past bedroom to bathroom & back door at Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (1024x768)

And a very comfortable set up with front and back door.

04 Dining room & bar at Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (768x1024)

I was the only guest in the dinning room (top floor).

05 Chicken, potato, cabbage & vegie dinner Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (1024x768)

Their loss as the meal was delicious.

06 Sunset over river mouth into Indian Ocean Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (1024x768)

And the view superb.

07 Sunset over river with bridge Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (1024x768)

Of the setting sun.

08 Sunset, moon & lit cross reflected in river Riviera Hartenbos Garden Route Western Cape ZA (750x1024)

Plus sweet dreams of exploring more of the coast.

So much beauty. It seems as if there is a clue to living life by traveling to new realms and kingdoms. In these places, the vibe and essence feels so foreign that our senses are wide open as if seeing life for the very first time. However, when we take these ideas and apply them to our normal daily lives, we learn once again to see life through sparkling and invigorating eyes where one is then in love with all that they potentially encounter....beyond all expectations.

Happy travels Always, my dear friend.

It seems to me that view was worth the trade-off of no internet for the night.

This looks like great accommodations. If they'd only had internet, it would have been perfection.
