I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Which stick to take walking

01 Northern walkingstick Yarnell AZ (800x600)

I went walking over to my neighbors and saw this Northern Walkingstick on a window screen.

02 Walking stick Yarnell AZ (600x800)

Came home to tell Mike about the walkingstick and he brought this one out.

03 Northern Walkingstick Yarnell AZ (800x593)

So which would you prefer?

I'd like that beautiful sugar bowl, Gaelyn! Seriously, I've never seen a (bug) walking stick in person.

I prefer the wooden one. While some bugs are fascinating, they also can creep me out. Like the spider in my bathroom this morning. :)

My health has not quite reached the stage of the wooden one so I prefer the live one LOL Diane

I'm with Sally. I like the walking stick bug, but overall, the massive bugs in your part of the country are what what would keep me from living there permanently!

While the Northern Walkingstick would be interesting to see, I would not want him in my house. Guess I'd have to go for the one made out of wood.

Great capture Gaely. I guess I do not need to tell you which one I prefer? :)

Well, both would make me move! That one on the screen is something I have never seen before. So cool!

Northern Walkingsticks are so interesting, fascinating. I prefer him outside and the other cane inside, until it's walking time. LOL!

I like both of them. The family went hiking in southeast Oklahoma a few years ago and we came upon an area that had maybe thousands of walkingsticks. It was magical. They were all over us. I'll never forget it.

I would love to see a walking stick (not the one in the second shot--I have one of those) up close and personal. I haven't seen one since I was a kid. Not on this side of the mts. I don't think.
The North Cascades is still open--bare and wet-right now. It usually closes sometime in November---MB

I've always been fond of all bugs. Really love walkingsticks of the buggy variety.
