Don’t look for me at any mall on Black Friday. Instead Mike and I are driving to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It might look like Christmas up there as they’ve gotten a little snow.
Then in the morning we’ll head down the South Kaibab trail, 7 miles, and camp for two nights at Bright Angel campground.
Catch ya’ when we return next week.

Sounds like a great idea. I wish I could be there too. Enjoy your camping trip and hike.
Hope that you have a great trip. Looking forward to you photos on your return. Diane
Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mike. When you have a chance, check out my Scenic Sunda post. It's dedicated to you. Blessings Jo
How very exciting to go hiking in the Grand Canyon in November! I can't wait to see blog posts about what it was like and what you saw. :)
Happy trails my friend. Enjoy every minute.
Love the first shot, looks like a a lovely, detailed painting.
Look forward to your next post.
All the best . . . Arija
Good hiking to you both, I'm sure it will be great if a little on the chilly side.
Enjoy the hike - appears to be an awesome location.
Thanks again for your consistent posts on my blog - much appreciated!
Enjoy!!!! We'll still be here when you get back. MB
That first picture is absolutely incredible. The balance of colors is really nice: not too much red or green. (It always seems to be very green when I visit...)
It must be really exciting to be able to camp in the canyon, as opposed to spending all day on the rim!
ORCA is good, and we are indeed still working on that project - hoping to be done by the spring. My mum says hi back! :)
You create a great space. Wonderful photos.
This is so much better than spending Black Friday in the stores! I think being as far away as you possibly can from the shopping frenzy is the sane thing to do.
Both you and the life you are living are just magical, alive, wondrous and so inspiring.
There is so much to see and experience while we are here on Earth. It is an endlessly beautiful planet. Your photos and writing are truly lovely and invite adventure.
I so enjoy your vibrant and free spirit and resonate deeply with it.
Thank you for the beauty you are and the beauty you share. I am grateful. So grateful.
Robin
I know you and Mike are having a GRAND adventure as I write this, Gaelyn!
Would never have thought of you being in a mall on Black Friday or ever, for that matter. Thrift shops(like me!), yes, but malls, no!
Glad you didn't go to either place, for this photo is stunning.....
I hope you guys are having a stunning trip and that those camera batteries hold out for you to take tons of pics to come and show us.
Gaelyn, Have fun! I'll be missing you!
Brrrr. Hope you got through the Black Friday lines at the park entrance okay andpacked nice and warm. I am looking forward to snow pictures.
Hope you had a great weekend camping! You won't find me in a mall on Black Friday either!!
Yeah, I avoided the malls, too. But I hung out with the fam and a few close friends. I hope you enjoyed the hike. Be safe.
MUCH more beautiful than any mall! The first picture is spectacular.
Looking forward to hearing about that which inspired you both upon your trip back into and beyond time.
You have the right idea on how to spend your days...
Much, much better than shopping on Black Friday!
I look forward to hearing the details on the hike.
