To take a bird that high up, you definitely need a good zoom. With my little digital it would look like a spot in the sky! Pity you could not get it with the squirrel.

That view is just amazing. Diane

I got a 15.1 megapixel camera for that reason. I can crop in closer without pixilating the shot.
You do work in a beautiful place but if you want to explore Alaska I think you will have to switch to Death Valley ;>)

Wouldn't it have been neat to get a pic with the squirrel in the talons. It's a nice picture anyway. Love the clouds in the last pic. Yes you work in paradise. MB

Wow!!! The almost B & W makes it even better.

I was approaching a lock in the Gold Coast of Australia. Eagles were catching fish. Each time they were too fast for me.

I wish I have a better camera.

Wow! I vote "yes" as well for a new camera, Gaelyn. You live amid such unique beauty! WAY cool shots and story.

Looks like the mountains and the clouds are competing to be the most formidable. Beautiful. I have promised myself a better camera for my birthday, now just hold thumbs that the strikers finish their strike in time for our increases to come through before my birthday (chuckle, chuckle).

Nice captures of the goshawk. Just proves that you never know when a photo moment will occur, so always have your camera at the ready. Beautiful scene from Bright Angel Point.
