Sego lily, paintbrush and lupine
Here’s nature’s red, white and blue decorations found on the Kaibab Plateau. (Thanks for the idea Tom.)
No fireworks allowed here, thank goodness or the forest would probably burn around us. And although I do miss the colorful light show I don’t miss the noise and smell. This afternoon we’ll have a parade where water is shot instead.
Happy 4th of July!
Be safe and sane but have fun too.

Looks like fun anyway!
Happy Fourth of July Gaelyn!
Happy 4th of July to you Gaelyn. Water is a MUCH better idea. There are so many animals that run away, get scared or lost in the UK on Guy Fawkes night. I also love watching them, but I do feel for all those terrified animals. Diane
Nice to see the Grand Canyon decked out for the fourth of July. :)
Happy 4th of July, Gaelyn! Being at the Grand Canyon would be a great place to celebrate.
I don't like fireworks so this would be perfect for me..Happy 4th Gaelyn... Michelle
Happy 4th of July.
Yep, parades are way more fun then burning stuff down. MB
You've got Fourth of July colors anyway!
Love the flowers.
Gaelyn: That is so neat.
I would like the water, but not as much if I held a camera in my hands. It was a scorcher of a weekend, and a swim would have been perfect. I don't like the noise or the smell either. I like the smell of food on the grill, but not sulfur from fireworks.
I do love nature's red white and blue the best. Water works sound like fun, and a lot safer than fireworks.
