It’s been a little stormy looking over the canyon lately, but not much rain.
Yet we’re taking our chances and going camping in the Kaibab National Forest on our first multiple days off together since Mike started working several weeks ago.
View from Crazy Jug, one of those points is Parissawampitts
So many choices. I think I’ve whittled it down to Parissawampitts or Crazy Jug Points where we can park the truck camper almost on the North Rim of Grand Canyon. Then rest and enjoy the view or take a hike on the Rainbow Rim trail.
Smoke from Saffron Fire above Grand Lodge
With the predicted light winds from the west we shouldn’t be affected by the smoke from the managed Saffron Fire further south near Swamp Point.
And if we don’t like it, we can move. More when we get back.

Happy camping and avoid the smoke. Hope it doesn't storm.
Enjoy your time with Mike. I hope the weather is good for you. As always wonderful photos. Diane
Camping? or camping? So fun!
Hey, if it rains, we can just chase each other around the camper! Rain or shine, it doesn't matter... It'll be time spent with you and that's all that matters!
I think it's great you two spend so much time outdoors even though you work out too. Have a great time.
I hope you are having a wonderful time my friend. These are terrific places to camp.
Have fun.
That first shot sure looks like rain though. MB
Sounds like fun. Watch the sky.
How awesome is that? You and Mike can actually spend time together on your days off. I said to my wife this weekend that I feel like going camping again.
Have a GRAND time!
Gaelyn what beautiful shots! Have fun camping!
