The day after my birthday I left Hermanus and drove along the southern coast through Kogelbrg Biosphere Reserve. It was a day of cloudy skies and intermittent rain.
Yet I was blessed all day with rainbows. More than I could take pictures of while driving.
I made it to the Cape of Good Hope that afternoon.
And spent the night at Moonglow B&B in Glen Cairn overlooking False Bay.

Congrats on reaching the Cape of Good Hope. I'm so jealous.
Great rainbow pics.
Nice rainbows leading to your goal. That would be a neat place to be. If I recall my history, its discovery by European sailors was very important.
Better than those beautiful rainbows is you in front of the Cape of Good Hope sign!
I agree with Martha Z...those rainbows lead your way to the Cape of Good Hope! And, you look elated to be there...how great!
These are wonderful Gaelyn. I especially like the one of you. :)
The Cape Peninsula is beautiful and any place with view over False Bay is worth it. I hope it was a quiet day at the Cape Of Good Hope sign cause I have been there when people were queing to take that photo.
Wonderful adventures you had! I love to see photos like the one where you are at the Cape of Good Hope!
Sounds like you had an awesome trip to Africa. Love your rainbow photos and the one of you and the Cape of Good Hope sign.
It is around and about and back again. Who knew at sweet 16?
Hi from New Zealand. I saw that same rainbow yesterday. LOL
Having these brooding skies with rainbows must be an omen of a good year to come, Gaelyn - change and promise!
The Cape is always beautiful. I like all the jewelry and clothes that you bought for yourself while there. The blue really suits you. Diane

Gaelyn: Fun post with great shots of SA.
Beautiful rainbows. To get to see more than one in a day is wonderful. And then to get to stand at Cape of Good Hope? Girl, you are one lucky ducky!
