I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Great pictures and report. The title "African Queen" - it only took you two weeks to take control of the continent!!!!!!

I think you would be able to make friends easily anywhere you went. That you met this fabulous lady was so wonderful, for both of you.

WOW!! I dont know where to begin commenting on all this Gaelyn. You really WERE sneaky with the photographs weren't you? LOL!! I said one or two not dozens. LOL!!

My dear friend, it was such a pleasure to have you here and show you around. I knew before you came that we would be good travel companions and hit it off as we did.

I am pleased I was there at the begining of your trip to guide you on your way and wish I could have spent longer with you. I look forward to seeing you again next year.

PS. Maybe I should have cut my nails before this trip? LOL!!

Mike: I believe you but you COULD have tried to stop her. :)

Sounds like you had a blast in South Africa and Joan is a wonderful guide and friend. I love the images the chameleon, the Emerald Schaffer and of Joan getting close-ups of bugs!

Hello Gaelyn (if I may call you that)! I came by you blog via Joan's and I'm pleased I did! You have taken some breath-taking photos of the country in which I have lived for fourteen years. I haven't even been to some of the places you had visited! I hope you had a wonderful experience in the "Rainbow Nation" :o)

I love the way Joan gets into taking those pics! She's a remarkable lady. (She would be a miracle worker if she got me up before 5AM though.)

I don't think you could have had somebody better for the first part of your holiday. Joan showed you so much more than you would have been able to see and find if you were travelling on your own.

You and Joan really ARE sisters of nature...I am so happy for you both...
