Death Valley National Park Day 1 - Part 1

Sunrise from Stovepipe Wells campgroundBeing in California put me in a different time zone so I awoke early enough to greet the day and prepare for hiking in Mosaic canyon.

Joan, sure glad I caught that sunrise as it was the only colorful one while there. See, I can get up early when motivated. I could barely keep my hands off that marble.

I love the first sunrise image - and the emotional and mental journeys your blog always takes me on. I can only imagine the wonder of the journey is all the more intense and wonderful from your van!

I thought you would always be an early riser - the day is half over and the fishing has slowed by the time the sun comes up!!!! Great pictures especially the sunrise. I love them.

I have been catching up with this great hike of yours... to see such sites and visit these great places must be a great way to live. I admire your fitness, long my it remain and let those legs carry you always to better sights and even great places...
