Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Remember Whensday - Another craft from the past

Stained glass bath set
I received so many nice comments from last week’s Remember Whensday post of one of my drawings from the past. Plus much encouragement to draw again. Thank you all! If I didn’t spend so much time online I might return to drawing. I’ll try to share some of my other favorites soon.

I’ve done so many arts and crafts. Seems like when I accomplish one, not mastered mind you, I get bored and move on. Such is the way with my life as well.

Yes, that’s me
I actually owned a small craft store in Tonasket, Washington during the 80s. At the time I was into stained glass. Also regularly painted the store windows, this was for Founders Day and Rodeo. Later when living in Wenatchee I taught classes and showed in some local galleries.

Sally from The (Mis) Adventures of Karl and Sally has started a new meme where the past is remembered through sharing old family photographs and this is #17. I love the idea and hope you will too. So join the fun by clicking here.

Not sure when I'll get back online over the next few days so I will apologize ahead of time for missing many posts. Will try to catch up when I can.

You're a person of many talents! Love the stained glass eagle.

Hey, You and Stacey must be clones. Does that mean she will become a park ranger too.

The reason Bernie thinks we are clones is because I too will accomplish a craft and quickly start to search for something new to try. Sometimes this is problematic, because I don't always finish the last project..... I try to have a hand full of crafts at any one time that I am enjoying, and then I can float around between those, and not become bored.

I too do stained glass. Do you think you will do more again in the future?

I dabbled with stained glass for awhile but never got "good enough" to stick with it. What you made is beautiful!

My goodness Gaely, why are you working when you are so talented and can do all these beautiful things? WOW!! I LOVE that eagle. If I were you I would do more of it. I am sure you would make a fortune. Such talent shout NOT go to waste.

I like the idea of Remember Whensday. My stepfather used to do stained glass, too, and I have a couple of his pieces.

Hmm, you turn out to be one creative lady! Maybe I should visit you to learn how to do stained glass - always wanted to try it, but it seems expensive if you start out? (Is it?)
I love the eagle!

I think in a way I'm in the same boat as you. I spent so much time online blogging and the like that I don't always make time to do hobby type things. Although photography and blogging has become my hobbies.

If I can ask a question. How do you reply to a question in your comments section via e-mail?

That is so much fun. I love hearing where people have come from, as well as stories about where they are now!

The craft store sounds fascinating. I see your stained glass and window painting subjects are nature inspired. Art and nature sure do go together.
