I know it’s a really fuzzy photo, but it’s the best of three
I was on my way out to the Walhalla Plateau yesterday morning and saw an animal run across the road not too far in front of me so I slowed down as I got parallel to where it disappeared into the woods. Window down and camera ready I saw this Bobcat slip under the low growth then stop, sit down and look right at me. I was shaking with excitement. This is the first Bobcat I’ve ever seen in the wild. Just had to share.

How exciting! It's a great shot, even if it's blurry.
Sunny :)
That's great! Every once in awhile one will run out of the woods around here, usually along the highway.
You were shaking indeed! LOL
Oh, how I'd love to see a big cat!
Oh my goodness!! What a GREAT experience!!
Congrats on your first Bobcat. The spirit of the cat is with you. I have only seen a few myself too. I often used to see their tracks in the snow.
Very cool! I've never seen one in the wild.
It's gorgeous, you are so lucky you had your camera with you! Your image looks like photo impressionism. I've been experimenting with moving the camera on purpose while shooting to get that effect.
I've seen Bobcat around a few times in my life but not much. Wonderful encounter. It is listening intently!
How cool is that! Good for you and thanks for sharing it with all of us.
Great sighting!!! I have spent years hiking and have only seen three in the wilds. It is amazing how cunning they can be.
Gaelyn: What a wonderful opertunity. I would of thought you would have more encounters.
How exciting for you! The photo has a mystical feel to it, which is probably what you were feeling when you took it. I have several photos where I've done all the wrong things, but then I end up really liking the shot.
At least you had your camera. A little while ago I saw a linx (caracal)next to the road and didn't have my camera on hand to catch the pic. Don't think I would have caught him anyway as he was gone in a flash.
Thank you very much for sharing this unforgettable moment with us. I understand how impressive it was to see it so close.
Looks like Bigfoot to me.
Congrats! i would love to see one of those in the wild!
