Some days start bad and go downhill

Nuthatch
Or is that down tree.

Schedules got confused yesterday. I thought I had three hours in the morning to work on some paperwork at the office. Turned into 30 minutes when I got a call from the visitor center that there was nobody to lead the 8am Nature Walk. So I rushed off and led the tour of 10. That wasn’t so bad.

Worked the visitor center for three hours and it was crazy busy. Might have had something to do with it being a free entrance weekend. Later gave a condor talk to about 100 visitors and that was OK.

Watched this storm on the south side but it never dropped rain on us. OK, that wasn’t so bad either.

Then I got home to find a propane tank had emptied and my fridge was not only off but dead. I guess it’s a good thing I have a 110/12volt cooler to use as back up but not everything fits. This is bad. But I should have been ready for it as when the outside temperatures reach 90 degrees over several days the fridge just won’t keep up. Of course no propane means no hot water and also no shower. That's bad.
I guess it all could have been worse. And I should remember the night before.
Thank goodness it's my Friday.

Was the tank just empty or does it have a leak? If you need it filled, we are leaving today, let me know and Jim can go fill it before we go.

I hope its just that you ran out of propane and not something serious with the fridge.

You certainly ended the day with a beautiful sunset!

Oh, bummer, one of those days. Hope you got your propane tank filled and had a great weekend!

Sorry about the fridge mishap, but that sky and view makes up for a lot, doesn't it?

Pat said it best a "bummer"!! On days like this I wish I had just stayed in bed. :) I hope you get your fridge fixed as that is an item one really needs in those temps. Well think of it like this, everything that is going to happen, has happened, so it can't get worse. :)

or is it an easy fix thing.

It's been clouding up here and teasing with thunder and lightning, but no rain for a couple of weeks. Sorry about your fridge and lack of hot water. You did get a beautiful sunset shot.

Wha a bummer not to have either a cool drink or a shower after a hard day's work.
Hope things are looking up now.

Things are always better on Saturday, whenever your Saturday happens to be...

Both those sky pics are beautiful, Gaelyn, so not all is bad! However, I hope that the propane situation resolves and your fridge isn't on the fritz too long. Hope you don't have to resort to 25 cent showers - do they still have that system?

Some days the force is not with you. Hey, you did your job though.

Hope everything is fine by now.
The first shot has a meaning now after I read the post.

Oh I hate days like this, when you just should have stayed in bed! Here's hoping tomorrow can only be better.

I could handle it all until the no shower part. OK, I would have been cranky long before then, but by then, I'm not sure what I would have done. It's not as if you can drive to town!

(Or drive quickly to town, I mean.)
