Oh Deer!
I was walking from the administration building back to the office and happened upon this sweetheart browsing the tall grass. She wasn’t really very scared of me and only wandered off a little to let me pass by.
Aw, she is sweet. I remember staying on the south rim years ago when the deer were very friendly - even overly so. They obviously expected handouts from the tourists.

I love how they look up with that look of "OH, it's just you!" and move a bit to let us go by.
Have to love those big ears! How does one get to be a ranger in a park?
It's nice to see the wild creature, it reminds us that we share the earth with other species.
