Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Feeling Squirrely

Spermophilus variegates
This Rock Squirrel, not even a foot from the well traveled Bright Angel Point Trail, was so engrossed with the new growth on the White Fir, yet many visitors passed it by unnoticed. The largest of any Grand Canyon ground squirrels commonly found on the South and North Rims, and also the most enterprising of beggars more so on the South.

My squirrelyness is taking off to Flagstaff for my three days off and meeting my dear friend Berta so we can explore the town and surrounding area while being squirrely.

Another cute little guy. We have neither squirrels not chipmunls in Australia.

Gaylin, may I please borrow your ghost squirrel to try and draw it? My darwing hand needs oiling, its been sitting in the garage since my studio burned down in 1983.

I have some funny shots of these little guys too.. they are much more concerned with eating than having their photo taken:)

Great squirrel shot. Amazing that many hikers didn't even notice him.

I love squirrels. Not the brightest animals on the planet, but one of the cutest, I think!

Sweet squirrel pictures! I often watch people stroll right by a huge spiny lizard on a boulder by a busy walkway. The lizard sees the people, but I don't think they know he's there. Have fun in Flagstaff!
