Carson's grave

Carson's final sleep

A quiet day for reflection. I’ve started an altar over Carson’s grave. I want it to be bird friendly and not javelina bothered. A scrub jay is the first to sing Carson’s praises, drinking from his water bowl. Soon the sparrows are bathing. Later even the Quail bobble over.

Me burying Carson

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

That's wonderful that you are attracting the beauty of Nature with and in the Spirit of your close Friend. Beauty attracts Beauty when fully realized.

I'm so sorry about your beloved Carson. It sounds like he had such a fun and free lifestyle and I bet his spirit is still right there with you. We lost our golden, Emma, a few years ago so I really feel for what you're going through now. May peace be with you.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's hard when our companions pass on to another adventure. I am glad you got to spend many wonderful years, and experiences with him.

So sorry about Carson. Our Sadie died last year, and she is surely missed.

I made a little grave for some of our baby ducklings one year. Then, when our black cat died, I put "Sammy" there too. Lots of birds come to visit. I think you did a good thing, burying him, and honoring him like you did. I know it hurts, but his memory will live on in your mind and heart. Bless you and Carson.
