I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Sky Watch Friday - Fire in the Sky

The Biscuit Fire occurred the summer of 2002 in southwestern Oregon when almost 500,000 acres burned and smoke filled the sky for months.

Check out next week’s MyWorld to discover why I was there.

For more skies from around the world go to SkyWatch and click here.

The skies are so beautiful in these shots - nature is awesome and can be so destructive at the same time.

Wow, these are great shots. We had fires in L.A. County not long ago and this is reminiscent of those skies. It's amazing that something so horrible can create such amazing skies.

Great captures of the smoke from the 2002 fires. It looks terribly close. Must have been hard to breathe and awfully scary.

Merry Christmas!

Fantastic photos! This is my first visit to your blog, but I'll be back to see more. Your gypsy life intrigues me (and makes me quite envious).

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, wherever you may be at the time.

This must have been huge. We were near forest fires in BC last summer, but the clouds of smoke were nothing like this.

The widespread devastating fires that are happening in CA have been so disturbing. I bet you were very worried when you were in Oregon that summer! Good photos!
