Description

I own no land, instead I have wheelestate. I’ve been a full time RVer since 1997. Working summers as a Park Ranger takes me to many beautiful places and playing during the winter takes me to many more. This blog is simply the story of my life's adventures.

Double Rainbow

Last night’s sky during a little rain squall.

Rain fell intermittently all day.
Really brought the green back.
Made the air fresh.
Rainbow reward.

Thankful for friends

It’s fun to dress up for a party.

This is the second time I’ve gone to R & S’s for Thanksgiving dinner. They do most of the cooking and others bring salads, vegetables and dessert. Everything was delicious. And the table was elegant.

Most of us are orphans with no place to go for the holidays. Some have family far away yet choose not to travel. We’re all thankful to have each other.

Sky Watch Friday - Stormy Spring Sky

For more views of the sky from around the world click here.

A sure sign of spring - return of the osprey to their ancestral nest.

This single lane bridge is located in Amboy, Washington. When it came time to paint the bridge a new nest holder was built and the long used nest moved. The returning couple settled in like they had for many generations.

I’m thankful for seeing the sky every day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A gray stay home day - watching the birds

The afternoon sky races by

I love having bird feeders only 20 feet from my window.

A bright Northern cardinal brightens the day

Though it seems even with the tri-pod I can’t zoom in enough. Of course raindrops on the window didn’t help either. I’ll have to live with it as I can’t afford to replace the camera.

Scrub jay shovels seed to the ground in search of sunflower seeds

I’d better fill that feeder between the rain drops. Sure glad it’s not snow, yet.

Gambel’s quail bobble in bunches

I'm thankful to be alive, right now.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

My World Tuesday - The gypsy life

Click on My World to see more of your world.

Gaelyn & saguaro, southern Arizona desert

Following a wonderful snowbird winter exploring the southwest (see last week’s My World) I returned to Washington.

My selling/camping space, Carson, Washington flea market

I had to get rid of some stored “stuff” that would not fit in my wheelestate. But I had no yard for a yard sale so went to the local flea market to sell. After only one weekend I was hooked and bought more stuff to sell. A fun way to recycle, shop, and maybe make a buck.

Fisherman Dale

Then I met a man—an old pattern—who had been selling on the flea market circuit for many years and we traveled together, southwest for the winter and back to the northwest for the summer, selling our wares along the way. An interesting way to try and make a living.

Carson at 2 months

This is also when Carson dog came into my life and he’s still with me, although the man is not.

Check out next week’s My World when the gypsy settles down, for a while.
